About Tempo

Tempo, Manitoba Music Educators’ annual professional development conference, brings together approximately 550 music teachers, representing all grade levels (K–12) and disciplines, including elementary, band, choral, guitar, and strings. The 2026 conference will take place on Friday, October 23 at MBCI, 173 Talbot Ave. in Winnipeg.

Tempo features local, national, and international experts in music education, offering eleven concurrent sessions across three time slots throughout the day, along with an inspiring keynote address that unites the entire community. The event is also strongly supported by numerous industry sponsors, who showcase their products and services in the vibrant exhibitor break room.
